Artifact Overview

A typical Follies revue featured a variety of performances from comedy sketches to dancing chorus girls similar to the famed Parisian Folies-Bergère cabaret. Each year producer Florenz Ziegfeld updated the show’s roster of performers. Ziegfeld produced the show annually from 1907 until 1931, and many of its stars became household names.
